God loves us so much.
We have a heavenly Father that loves us so much and cares about us so much.
Matthew 7:11
11. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
- A natural father will do anything to give his kids the best life.
- Use the example of my father finding the Dukes of Hazard sleeping bag when I was young.
What is God?
- God is love.
- God’s love is genuine and authentic, and honest.
- God loves us right where we are at.
For us to receive the fullness of the greatness of God in our lives, we must understand who God is.
- We must have an intimate relationship with God.
- The only way this is accomplished is by spending quality time with God.
1 John 4:7-8
7. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
8. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
If we spend time with God, our hearts will be changed.
- Loving others is dependent on us knowing God.
- All the instruction in the world will not enable people to give what they don’t have.
- Our poor relationships with others indicate our poor relationship with the Lord.
- There are many characteristics of God, but God IS love.
- That is the true nature of God.
