God loves us so much. We have a heavenly Father that loves us so much and cares about us so much. Matthew 7:11 11. What is God? • God is love. • God’s love is genuine and authentic, and honest. • God loves us right where we are at. For us to receive the fullness of the greatness of God in our lives, we must understand who God is. • We must have an intimate relationship with God. • The only way this is accomplished is by spending quality time with God. 1 John 4:7-8 7. Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. If we spend time with God, our hearts will be changed. • Loving others is dependent on us knowing God. • All the instruction in the world will not enable people to give what they don’t have. • Our poor relationships with others indicate our poor relationship with the Lord. • There are many characteristics of God, but God IS love. • That is the true nature of God.
